HELLO!
Milan Loiacono is a photojournalist whose work is influenced by her experience in both newspaper and magazine journalism. Her scope of work spans several genres, including editorial, exploration, and wedding photography. She served as Editor-and-Chief of Currents Magazine, as a photojournalist for Magenta Publishing House’s Vista Magazine in Florence, Italy, and as the assistant producer on a National Geographic-supported documentary produced by Antarctic explorer Ariel Waldman. Currently, Milan is a science communication specialist at NASA Ames Research Center for their Earth Science Division.
With undergraduate degrees from Pepperdine University in Intercultural Communication and Italian and a Masters in Linguistics from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, her passion is integrating cultural exploration and storytelling into photojournalism.
